One of the hardest parts of planning a Glacier National Park elopement is choosing where to say "I do."

With towering mountain peaks, crystal-clear lakes, scenic overlooks, and miles of breathtaking landscapes, it's easy to see why so many couples fall in love with Glacier. The challenge isn't finding a beautiful location, it's deciding which one best fits the experience you're dreaming of!

Big Bend Pullout

Best For: Couples dreaming of a peaceful sunrise ceremony with sweeping mountain views.

If you've ever imagined exchanging vows as the first rays of sunlight illuminate the mountains, Big Bend Pullout is hard to beat.

This scenic overlook along Going-to-the-Sun Road offers breathtaking panoramic views with very little walking required, making it an incredible option for couples who want dramatic scenery without a strenuous hike.

One of the things I love most about Big Bend is how quiet it feels early in the morning. Watching the sun slowly rise over the mountains creates an atmosphere that's both peaceful and unforgettable.

• Parking is limited later in the day.

• Sunrise is by far the best experience.

Lake McDonald

Best For: Couples who want iconic Glacier scenery with easy accessibility.

Lake McDonald is one of Glacier National Park's most recognizable locations, and for good reason.

Its crystal-clear water, colorful rocks, and stunning mountain reflections make it one of the most photographed places in the park.

There are several beautiful spots around the lake, giving couples plenty of flexibility depending on the time of day and the experience they're hoping to create.

Considerations

• Can be busy during summer afternoons.

• Sunrise and sunset are typically the quietest times.

Sun Point

Best For: Couples wanting dramatic lake and mountain views with an easy walk.

Sun Point offers one of my favorite combinations in Glacier: towering mountains, vibrant blue water, and just enough walking to feel like an adventure without being difficult.

It's especially beautiful for sunrise and early morning ceremonies when the light is soft and the crowds are smaller.

One of the best things about Sun Point is the variety. Within a short distance, you can capture lakeside portraits, rocky shoreline views, forest scenery, and incredible mountain backdrops.

Logan Pass

Best For: Couples looking for Glacier's iconic alpine scenery.

When most people picture Glacier National Park, they're often imagining Logan Pass!

Towering peaks surround you in every direction, alpine meadows stretch into the distance, and wildlife sightings are common throughout the summer.

It's one of the most breathtaking places in the park, but also one of the busiest.

If Logan Pass is your dream location, I almost always recommend planning for sunrise or very early morning to avoid crowds and parking challenges.

• Parking fills extremely early.

• Three-hour parking limit currently applies.

Two Medicine

Two Medicine often feels like Glacier's hidden gem.

While it may not receive as much attention as Lake McDonald or Logan Pass, it's incredibly beautiful and tends to be much less crowded.

Towering peaks, calm lakes, and peaceful surroundings make it perfect for couples hoping for a more intimate experience.

Best For: Couples who want some of Glacier's most dramatic mountain scenery.

Many Glacier feels wild.

The towering peaks, alpine lakes, historic hotel, and hiking opportunities make this area one of the most spectacular parts of the park.
