Some moments feel like they’re straight out of a fairytale, and Isahi and Maggie’s proposal at the Cummer Museum of Art & Gardens in Jacksonville, FL was exactly that!
The Cummer Museum is already a special place for them, it’s where they had their very first date! So when it came time to plan his proposal, Isahi knew it was the perfect spot. I arrived early to get everything set up in the Italian Garden, where he would ask the big question. To make the moment even sweeter, Maggie’s family was secretly hiding nearby, ready to watch it all unfold!

When Isahi got down on one knee, Maggie was completely surprised, and the cheers from her family made it even more unforgettable. After she said “yes,” we wandered the museum grounds to capture their newly-engaged glow. From laughter in the gardens to quiet moments by the water, it was the perfect way to celebrate their love story.
Proposals are some of my favorite moments to photograph because they’re filled with so much raw emotion, surprise, and joy! And if you’re looking for a location, the Cummer Museum of Art & Gardens is one of Jacksonville’s most beautiful spots for proposals, engagement sessions, and even intimate elopements! With its timeless gardens, historic architecture, and views of the St. Johns River, it’s a dream backdrop for couples who want something romantic and meaningful.
If you’re planning a proposal, engagement session, or elopement in Jacksonville, St. Augustine, or Northeast Florida, I’d love to help you capture every detail. Whether you’re dreaming of a surprise proposal at the Cummer, a golden-hour beach engagement, or an intimate elopement in St. Augustine, I’m here to tell your story!
